About Me
Hi, my name is Jeanné and I am an audiobook narrator, general voice actor and singer/songwriter (more about that later).
As a young child I enjoyed reading; but I became a self-proclaimed bookworm after reading my first Stephen King novel at the age of 12. My favorite author list includes high profile, and indie authors; such as V.C. Andrews, David Baldacci, Sandra Brown, Lee Child, Mary Higgins Clark, Lindy Conroe, Robin Cook, Michael Crichton, Julie Czerneda, Janet Evanovich, Tess Gerritsen, Noah Gordon, Sue Grafton, Tammy Hoag, Ty Allan Jackson, Iris Johansen, Dean Koontz, Fern Michaels, James Patterson, Edgar Allan Poe, Andy Rausch, Nora Roberts, John Sandford, Danielle Steel, and so many more.
I am especially fond of narrating Autobiographies and Memoirs; books on History; Sociology; Cultural Competence; Health, and Industrial & Organizational Psychology.
I earned my M.Ed. and CAGS in Marriage and Family Therapy and after several years of running my private mental health practice, I decided to give up my professional license and explore my creative arts side. Tune Talks with Jeanné, a weekly internet radio show; that combined my love of music, voice work, and production was born out of this major life changing decision. My desire to participate in the world of music and voice acting only grew from there.
Today I am a published singer/songwriter, voice actor, audio/video editor, unscripted podcast host, proud member of NAVA (National Association of Voice Actors) and excel spreadsheet junkie.
I currently live in Florida with my husband and guard dog.
My recording space is a 3×6 sound treated booth.
My recording gear includes a Rode NT1 mic, Scarlet 2i2 interface.
My recording software is Audacity.
My QC process includes reviews by me, Pozotron software and a 3rd party human beta listener.
